First day of practice south Africa! Can't find my shoes..
@hampsteadbandit I used to work at Denton Cycles. Used to hang out with Adam quite a bit when he rode for Sintesi.
Only got to hang out with Jason once, but he made an impression. Remember racing at the nambs when he died.
Downhill was a totally different scene back then....... miss those days.
Carlton is further south than Eston. Just down the road. I remember Eston though. Racing Steve Peat and Plunkie at the Nambs and Nemba races back in the day........
UK date set just after Fort William............Anyone else think that might mean Glencoe getting its long over due international debut??????
@super-spence Eurosport is the exact same cameras and feed as Freecaster..........
Comment of the day must go to Hannah...."Spent some quality alone time to polish my helmet"!!!!!!
2:35 you can see the line that Danny was looking for when he sketched out in the final run. I he'd made that he would have been clear winner ahead of Minnar. No one else was looking that fast through there all weekend.........next time Danny!!!!
You should have been stood there when it went. He left the last bit of board walk at full spead, then the minute his tyre lost presure the wheel just disintigrated. No warning, no riding the rim to slow down!!! It just went and he ended up travelling the full length of rock garden with jst one wheel. Amazing that he held it.
I'm not dissing carbon wheels, just an alu one may have at least survived long enough to regain control and stop.
Imagine if that had been his front wheel!!!
